On November 9th 2016, more than 170 students, parents, caregivers, staff, local community members and special guests attended our 2016 Annual Awards Ceremony, held at the Gary Holland Centre in Rockingham.
The event celebrates and rewards student achievement throughout the year with a range of awards, including: Dux, Citizenship, Endeavour, Positive Image, Attendance, Most Improved and Achievement Awards, Work Place Learning – just to name a few. It is also a chance to farewell our Year 12 Cohort and wish them well for their future endeavours.
As well as parents and caregivers, we were honoured to have a number of special guests attend and present awards to the students including; The Mayor, City of Rockingham – Mr Barry Sammels, Mr Paul Pappalia – Member for Warnbro, Ms Penny White – Coordinator South Metro Regional Education Office, Mr Geoff Hurren – Program Coordinator Cadets WA,Mr Richard Olive – Bush Rangers WA and Mr Len Sheedy – Board of Bendigo Community Bank WA. We thank you all for attending and celebrating our students’ achievements.
Rockingham SHS Education Support Centre is always grateful for the valued support shown from some of our local community business and government offices each year; this help enables student award winners to receive a suitable book, or voucher to go with their award certificates.
