We are committed to meeting the social, emotional, behavioural and health needs of all students at Rockingham SHS Education Support Centre. Students have access to a number of support services as well as support from classroom staff, Deputies and the Principal – Students have access to:
- School Psychologist
- Student Support Officer
- Behaviour Consultant
These professionals work together with the students, parents and school staff to meet the individual needs of students. Together they contribute to ensuring Rockingham SHS Education Support Centre is a safe and educative environment for all students.
Student Services Staff
Manager of Year 10, 11 and 12
Responsible for the welfare of all Year 10, 11 and 12 students. The Student Services Manager liaises with school members, families and community around issues of pastoral care, emotional or spiritual issues, attendance and educational outcomes. They also play a key role in coordinating Good Standing, behaviour management, subject selections and school events.
Amanda Flood (Associate Principal)
Manager Year 7, 8 and 9
Responsible for the welfare of all Year 7, 8, and 9 students. Jo Thompson (Associate Principal)
School Psychologist
Responsible for individual student support, assessments and development of individual and classroom support plans. They involve community and inter-agency levels with referrals and accessing community support as well as creating critical response plans and professional development of school staff.
Student Support Officer
Responsible for understanding the social and emotional needs of students through general monitoring and liaising with the Associate Principal in planning and implementing strategies in the school’s Student Services Plan. Coordinating school activities, well-being programs, Student Councillors and attendance tracking are other responsibilities of the Student Support Officer
