The School Board at Rockingham SHS Education Support Centre works with the school to achieve the best outcomes for all students. The School Board’s functions are covered by legislation. The elected members include parents, staff and community members in secondary settings; the Principal of the school is also a member.
Our Board meets once per term and dates are advertised on the school calendar. In some instances, special meetings may be called for.
The School Board is a valued and important contribution towards supporting public education. Being a member is an important and rewarding role, that contributes greatly to the success of a school.
Support for board members is available via a program called Linking Schools and Communities. This provides training and online resources that are accessible, flexible and responds to the changing needs of councils/boards.
